PLAYS

MY ORIGINAL WORK

Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. I especially aspire to tell the stories of the minority, the underrepresented, and the underdog. Playwriting is my channel to do just that - to tell stories that I normally do not get a chance to tell - in my own terms, in my own words, in my own expression.
Please note that only completed/workshopped works are featured on this page. If you are interested in the creative process or working with me on a yet workshopped play, please contact me.

BROOKLYN MEMORIES

Workshopped at the Langley Siloam Festival in July 2019.

Wide-eyed and optimistic actor Jimmy Donnelly arrives in New York City for the first time to pursue his dream of being a Broadway actor. At a party thrown by his best friend Tarryn Gail, he meets playwright Kieran Barry, and a myriad of questions arise for Jimmy as he wrestles with moral responsibility, self-doubt and the demons within, and the fundamental need of every human being to love and be loved.

The play is currently in rewrites after a workshop at the Siloam Festival. For more information on this play please contact me.

BEYOND MIDNIGHT

book by Thomas A. Chan, Michael Heming, Skye MacAusland, Mae Ba, and Coleman Campbell
music and lyrics by Siân Campbell

Workshopped at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in June 2021 as part of the MAMT New Musical Development module.

Cinderella was supposed to marry the Prince and live happily ever after. However, that's not how the story ended up. Instead, she flees the Prince on their wedding day for the real world in search for meaning and something... more. BEYOND MIDNIGHT follows her return to the now-falling-apart Utopia, her home, and all that happened After Ever After.

The musical is currently in rewrites after a workshop at the RCS. For more information on the musical please contact me.
